Diana by Scott Sustek
Sustek will
be featured at the next ARTS Encounters May 31st/June 1st!
Lysaght's Cycladics: Then and Now is installed. A 98' crane from
Perry's Cranes in Kerrville skillfully lifted the huge limestone heads
more than 30' in the air, lowered them onto the steel pipes with less
than an inch clearance, as each stone slid down to rest on the pipes as
Lysaght planned. Photos and installation video will be added to the
website soon.

Shinobi, by Rick Cunningham sits on the site of his
sculpture, Stealth which was sold and is
being installed on a ranch preserve southest of Dallas. Shinobi is 9'3"
tall, hand forged welded steel.

The installation of
Cycladics Now and Then, shown below, a major installation by
Patrick Lysaght is
underway. In the first phase, Austin Crane Company transported the
stones,
(shown here from the side and the rear) to The Sculpture Ranch.The "male" face weighs 8700
pounds and the "female" 7100 pounds. In the
next phase, they will be secured atop steep pipes 30 feet high. (See
update).

Xerxes, by Bettye Hamblen Turner - fourth in the longhorn
series, was moved and installed in Georgetown, Texas March
20th, at The Stacey Group office.
We welcome also the sculptures of Gustavo Beckelmann of Paraguay. Five
bronzes, of the lost wax process, are currently in
the interior galleries. He will be installing a large-scale outdoor
piece in the near future.
